IMF keeps Russia’s 2018 GDP growth forecast at 1.7%

WASHINGTON, Jul 16 (PRIME) -- The International Monetary Fund (IMF) has maintained its forecast for Russia’s gross domestic product (GDP) growth in 2018 at 1.7% and in 2019 at 1.5%, the IMF said on Monday in its July release of the World Economic Outlook.

The fund also kept its forecast for the U.S. GDP growth at 2.9% in 2018 and 2.7% ion 2019, but worsened its outlook on the Eurozone by 0.2 percentage points to 2.2% in 2018 and by 0.1 percentage point to 1.9% in 2019 due to more active slowdowns of economies of German, France, and Italy.

The IMF also increased its forecast for the average annual oil price nu U.S. $7.9 to $70.23 per barrel in 2019. The price forecast for 2019 was raised by $11 to $68.99.
